HIP HOP CONNECTION: Respect The Gangsta (Analysis)

The music genre of this magazine is hip-hop and rap and you can tell this by the name of the magazine, the strap line, and the main image. The target audience are people who love hip-hop and rap and would want to know more about their favorite artists. You can tell this because their are stories about the history of record labels and what artists were signed to this label and it shows you the best rappers of all time.
The main image is of three rappers, one in the middle and 1 on each side. The image relates to the music genre because the three artist are famous rappers and represent hip-hop and rap music industry. Also, the image of the album cover which is named "Death Row Records" is also related to music genre beacause the record label is a rap record label. All three rappers are doing a gangster like pose by giving a feared look to the reader. They do this because gangster rap is about who is the best, and who control thing things in the inner city.This relates to the kicker because it says "DEATH ROW: The Story Of The World's Most Feared Label". The main colours that are chosen in this magazine are red, black and white. The colours contribute to the mood because most rappers always wear black. The colour red represents violence, meaning if you come in the way of these rappers then they will use violence at any cost.
Th title of this magazine is called Hip Hop CONNECTION. It reflects the content because on the strap lines is shows a list of hip-hop/rap artists and the image is of famous hip-hop/rap artists Dr. Dre, 2Pac and Snoop Dogg. The title also reflects the target audience because it will attracts readers who are intrested in hip-hop/rap. It will attract them from the title because it says hip-hop and they will immediately pick up the magazine and look at the main image and if they see their favourite hip-hop/rap name or image on the cover then they will be intrested in reading the magazine.
